Why Texan ports won't benefit from a wider Panama Canal

In two years’ time, mega ships from Asia will be able to bypass California’s ports and head straight through the widened Panama Canal. The southern states of the US are expecting to see a boom in their ports business. But while Florida has been busy preparing to welcome these big ships, Texas has failed to get ready on time, and could lose out.
