Hapag-Lloyd has raised its full-year earnings forecast yet again, as its ebit for the first six months soared to $10bn, a colossal threefold increase on the year before.
The carrier says it now expects an ebit of between $17.5bn and $19.5bn for the 12 months, up from its forecast on 28 April of $12.5bn to $14.5bn – in turn an upgrade of $2.5bn on its previous guidance.
