Yesterday, the inevitable happened – MSC overtook Maersk to become the world’s largest shipping line, as measured by teu slot capacity.
It’s on all the news headlines – yesterday, Alphaliner’s Top 100 registered MSC’s fleet capacity at 4,284,728 teu, compared with Maersk’s 4,282,840 teu, the difference equivalent to a 1,888 teu mid-sized feeder ship.
