UK-based Europa Worldwide Group has promoted Vanita Dass-Puri (pictured) to the new role of head of recruitment.
She joined the company in 2017 as internal recruitment and acquisition manager and, during the outbreak of the pandemic, led a team to recruit 120 staff to facilitate the opening of Europa Warehouse’s new state-of-the-art 715,000sq ft facility in Corby.
In her new role, based at Europa’s Dartford headquarters, she will focuse on building the team to support Europa Road’s frictionless trade service as well as re-launching the Rapid Career Development Programme for school-leavers and graduates.
“I’m really excited and honoured to be taking up my new role and leading the recruitment department (a team of five), and I look forward to us attracting talented individuals who are passionate across all areas of logistics to grow the business,” she said.
Ian Kirkpatrick, central services director at Europa Worldwide Group, said: ““Despite the challenges of the past year, we are continuing to focus on driving growth within the business as part of our commitment to investing in people, developing in-house talent and encouraging progression. Recruitment will be a real focus for us in 2021, and we look forward to expanding the Europa team.”
