British transport minister Chris Grayling has warned Heathrow not to burden customers with the costs of a “gold-plated” third runway. Reuters reports that Mr Grayling’s comments come amidst carrier fears of rising prices to use the London gateway.  While Heathrow has suggested the total cost of the new runway would be £14bn, IAG chief exec Willie Walsh has said it would be more than double that, and described the airport operator as a “rapacious” landlord.
