Following the tragic fire aboard Maersk Honam earlier this year, TT Club has put together a guide to General Average (GA). While acknowledging that the GA concept is by no means new, the guide suggests that few fully understand it, and that, in fact, it is commonly misunderstood. Refusing to be pulled into the argument over whether or not GA should be replaced, it instead looks to help people understand the current reality.
