TikTok Shop is set to launch in Mexico next month, according to the South China Morning Post. The controversial platform has invited sellers to launch, with local merchants exempt from commission fees for the first 90 days.
The move was postponed from last year, as TikTok came under scrutiny from the US, and it is fighting a proposed US ban in the courts.
TikTok Shop is present in many major markets, opening in Spain and Ireland last month, and now also present in the US, UK and six countries in South-east Asia.
