Completion of the Panama Canal expansion project is falling behind schedule, and it appears that a final date has yet to be finalised. Canal administrator Alberto Aleman blamed the delays on concrete laying problems, but added that continuing weaknesses in the US and European economies is being offset by growth in Latin Anerica.
