Alitalia could soon be back in the air. EU authorities have agreed a plan which would see the carrier get €199.45m of state aid in the form of a direct grant. The money is related to Covid-19, rather than its previous financial troubles. The EU added that it would continue to investigate previous support measures given to the carrier. Italy’s transport minister said the new Alitalia could be up and running within a few days, reports CH Aviation.
