Mumbai International Airport has opened a domestic cargo terminal to help the growing e-commerce business in India. The airport has launched a common user terminal to handle 300,000 tonnes of cargo each year, in an attempt to cater for expected air freight growth of 12.5% CAGR over the next five years. E-commerce in India is expected to rise 67% this year over last, reaching a value of $38bn.
