Interesting Twitter thread by Flexport founder and CEO Ryan Peterson, who rented a boat to go and see for himself the problems at the port of Long Beach. The closer inspection revealed how few cranes were working, and where the actual bottlenecks were in the system. He has suggested ways of reducing the congestion – and has called on the industry to help come up with more ideas to ensure smooth flow of cargo through the port.
