Maersk has appointed Christopher Cook as its new managing director for the UK and Ireland.
Mr Cook began his career with Maersk in 2002 and has worked across Africa, Europe, India, and the Middle East over the past two decades.
He steps into his new role having served as area manager for South Asia since 2024. Prior to that he was MD for Oman, Qatar, and the UAE, where he was credited with successfully transforming the carrier’s business in the region.
President for Europe Aymeric Chandavoine said he was “pleased” to welcome Mr Cook.
“Chris is no stranger to the UK and brings strong customer focus. He is also known for his passion for people and developing a strong culture.”
