Cargo Facts has done its monthly analysis of the airline and airport stats. While acknowledging that January doesn’t really count as Chinese new year distorts the figures, it has spotted one or two interesting points – such as that both Cathay and China Eastern lost market share in their home markets, Hactl continues top struggle with the loss of about one third of its buiness since Cathay went solo, and Lufthansa and Turkish gained (hugely in the latter’s case) while AF-KLM and IAG saw volumes fall. A good round up of last month’s results.
