The burgeoning love affair between China and Greece shows no sign of dimming. A joint statement from the two countries, following a three-day visit by Chinese premier Li Keqiang to the country where the euro crisis began, talks about China’s desire to invest in Greek ports, airports and railways. Cosco Pacific taking over the operation of Piraeus’ container terminal has already had a galvanising effect on the port’s volumes – Chinese investors are looking for similar opportunities elsewhere and Greece’s politicians appear happy to oblige.
