David Kerr has been named as the new chief executive officer of British all-cargo carrier CargoLogicAir, partner of the Volga-Dnepr Group.
The former Eitihad Cargo chief, who left the Abu Dhabi-based airline earlier this month, will take up his new post on 1 January next year, as first reported in The Loadstar.
“David is a highly respected, experienced and well-known air cargo industry executive who will bring new insight into the business and lead CargoLogicAir towards our strategic goal of recognition as one of the leaders in the European airfreight industry,” Sir John Holmes, Advisory Board Chairman of CargoLogicAir stated.
The airline added in a statement that in his new role, he will be “responsible for the successful implementation of the airline’s strategic development plans, orchestrating the growth of its freighter fleet and its network, with the focus on specialized logistics solutions for different industries”.
Mr Kerr has over 20 years of experience in the airline sector, and his first job in the sector was with American Airlines. He has also held senior positions in the FMCG, banking and travel industries.
It is thought that existing chief executive, director and former shareholder, Dimitry Grishin, will move elsewhere in the Volga-Dnepr Group.
