UK freight services provider Xpediator has appointed Dan Harris (pictured above) as IT infrastructure service & operations director.
He joins the group, which includes freight forwarder Delamode, port-centric logistics operator Import Services and e-commerce fulfilment concern EshopWedrop, from Sainsbury’s Argos, where he was senior IT development manager.
He began his career at Tesco in 2006, where he was programme manager, then in 2014 he joined Home Retail Group, where he spent three years before moving to Sainsbury’s.
Michael Grange, chief information officer and chief operating officer of eCommerce at Xpediator, said: “The group’s IT infrastructure is a key focus and we are aiming to create significant efficiencies and synergies, by harmonising front-end to back-end systems throughout the business and across all our newly acquired operations. With this objective, Dan’s blue-chip experience will be extremely valuable.”
Mr Harris added, “I am delighted to be joining the Xpediator team. The company has grown impressively and I am looking forward to applying the knowledge I have acquired to support the group’s fast paced growth and maximise the commercial advantages a modern IT infrastructure can bring.”
