Chris Cargill, formerly of Ligentia and Allport, has joined SEKO Logistics in the UK as group director.
He will help support the company’s global network expansion, as well as developing sea and air freight product development.
Mr Cargill spent some 40 years with Allport, becoming a board member in 1978. He served as managing director air freight before taking over as group MD in 2010. In 2014, he joined Ligentia as group director helping it develop a presence in Asia and the Indian subcontinent.
Mark White, chief commercial officer at SEKO, said: “Attracting Chris is a real coup for us because of his experience, track record and the contacts and respect he has earned, especially with major retailers.
“The UK is one of the fastest-growing areas in SEKO’s global network and Chris is going to play a leading role in taking us to the next level by developing our products and network, and by opening more doors to new business opportunities.”
