Toll Group has appointed Joshua Bowen as its new president of Americas.
Mr Bowen joins from Ceva Logistics, where he was EVP business development for North America, and prior to that, global head of ocean freight, before becoming global head of air freight.
He has also worked for Panalpina, DB Schenker, and Kuehne + Nagel, and said yesterday: “I’m excited to share that tomorrow I am beginning the next chapter of my career with Toll Group…
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Robert Reiter [president of Toll Global Forwarding] for the trust and confidence placed in me. I’m truly energised by the opportunity ahead and excited about what we will build together as we continue to strengthen and grow the organization across the Americas.”
In a slew of new jobs announced this week, AD Ports also today confirmed changes outlined in yesterday’s Loadstar Premium exclusive.
Under the leadership of DB Schenker’s former CEO, Jochen Thewes, ADP has announced changes to its Logistics Cluster – a division founded on its purchase of Noatum Logistics.
Thorsten Meincke, formerly COO and board member at DB Schenker, joins Noatumn as EVP – ocean and air freight. He has held roles at Kuehne + Nagel, including SVP global sea freight and global VP of sales and marketing.
And there is another recruit from DB Schenker: Björn Eckbauer, who becomes SVP global air freight development and procurement, after leaving the same role at the German forwarder.
Also from the Deutsche Bahn stable is Boris Kuehn, who becomes SVP M&A. He has spent the past six years as DB’s head of global corporate venturing.
Mr Thewes, CEO of ADP’s Logistics Cluster, said: “We have built a world-class team that combines global expertise in multimodal freight logistics, mergers and acquisitions, and deep knowledge across all major markets. By bringing in leaders from the top tier of our industry, we’re strengthening our capabilities and positioning ourselves to become a leading global logistics provider.
“We are united as one team, laser focused on expanding our product offerings, driving growth, and exceeding the expectations of our clients, partners, and the communities we serve.”
