Cargolux Airlines has appointed Chris Nielen as its new vice president of sales.
Mr Nielen, who is based in Luxembourg, joined Cargolux from International Airlines Group (IAG) Cargo, where he spent 15 years in a variety of roles – most recently as the group’s regional commercial manager for Europe.
It was at IAG founder airline British Airways (BA) that he cut his cargo teeth and quickly progressed from regional account manager to cargo communications manager for the Benelux and Nordic region.
Niek van der Weide, Cargolux executive vice president of sales and marketing, described Mr Nielen as dynamic and sales-focused, and having a full contact book.
“His outgoing personality and vast knowledge of the industry will undoubtedly help Cargolux to further expand and strengthen the relationships with our worldwide clients,” he added.
