Boeing has joined an increasing number of companies designing drones – and it will be a biggie. Able to carry a 500lb payload, it is powered by electricity and has vertical take-off and landing capabilities. It has just completed initial test flights after only three months in the design and build phase. It measures 15ft long (4.57 metres), 18ft wide (5.49 metres), and 4ft tall (1.22 metres) and weighs 747lbs (339 kgs). Boeing did not specify its battery life time.
