A US federal court just handed down a ruling that should make every logistics company using AI immediately reconsider its data governance policies.

OpenAI has been ordered to produce 20 million anonymized ChatGPT conversation logs in its copyright dispute with The New York Times, and while OpenAI fought the decision citing privacy concerns, US Magistrate Judge Ona Wang ruled the records are relevant evidence and that anonymization provides sufficient privacy protection.
