The chief executive of new all-cargo carrier ACE Belgium, Eshel Heffetz, tells Cargo Forwarder Global he and his team want to create a vertical solution for the airline’s customers. The new carrier, a European sister to Israel’s CAL, was granted its AOC on Thursday and plans to commercialise capacity with CAL under the Challenge Air Cargo brand. ACE plans to start with flights connecting Liege and JFK, using a CAL 747-400F, but has ambitions to grow its network to include scheduled services into China. Mr Heffetz said that, alongside offering capacity in the skies, the carrier wanted to be able to supply handling and door-to-door trucking through its hubs.
