The first-quarter (1Q) update of US intermodal and trucking behemoth JB Hunt sent shivers down the spines of several T&L operators last night.
Many are now waiting for today’s 1Q release from railroad company CSX Transportation – whose numbers, as with JB Hunt, are due after the US stock market closes – to determine whether, alongside other troubling operating factors, the damage from cost inflation pressures is widespread in the North American supply chain.
