Marc Papenhoff (pictured above), the executive credited with creating DB Schenker’s digital road freight marketplace, Drive4Schenker, has joined digital freight forwarder InstaFreight as director of business development.
Maximilian Schaefer, InstaFreight co-founder and managing director, said: “We have gained a logistics expert with strong implementation skills who is convinced of our vision and our product. We are delighted to be working with him to take InstaFreight to the next level and change the market.”
Mr Papenhoff added: “InstaFreight’s innovative and creative solutions for digitising the road transport sector are absolutely convincing. I look forward to joining the team in order to revolutionise the European transport market together.”
His career in the transport and contract logistics sector has spanned more than 27 years and a number of 3PLs, including Penske Logistics and Fiege.
He joined Schenker in 2011, responsible for global business development in the contract logistics division. In 2015, he moved to the land transport division and helped to build up the digital marketplace for part and full loads.
