Comment / Under the radar: About Japan's Ocean Network Express and its troubles

We all know Japanese carrier Ocean Network Express (ONE) remains troubled as it transitions to its new corporate plan and business structure.

Last month, The Loadstar reported that it “is set to see losses spiral to $600m in its first year, as it struggles to ’restore the trust of customers’ after the chaotic April launch”.

A dreadful trading update had many of us wondering why the three-way merger was ever conceived in first place, and still we do not know the answer. Fair enough, it’s early days.
