Interesting update on CAL Cargo Airlines and its new offshoot, ACE Belgium Freighters, by Air Cargo News. Remember those ex-Jade 747Fs, sold through Taobao’s online auction? One was bought by CAL and, following maintenance, is preparing to join the Israeli carrier’s fleet. ACN reports that then CAL will hand over one of its existing 747-400Fs to ACE and will change the aircraft’s registration from Israeli to Belgian, thus giving it a greater access to markets in the Middle East and North Africa.
