Trump may be railing against Amazon (see below) and the cut-price discounts it gets from the US Postal Service, but it seems the best deal goes elsewhere: China. The Epoch Times reports that reduced shipping rates within the US benefit Chinese e-tailers through the UN’s Universal Postal Union (UPU). Under the UPU, the UN sets tiered systems to determine rates nations should charge for delivering international packages that arrive on their soil. In 2011, the US Postal Service arranged new rates for packages lighter than 4.4lb coming from Hong Kong and China. This has left Chinese shippers paying a quarter of the delivery fee US retailers are charged.
And here, Politifact examines the claim that the USPS is subsidising Amazon (spoiler alert: it would be illegal for the post office to deliver packages at below cost.)
