APL Logistics has stopped short of apologising to K Line, but has issued a statement concerning the rumours which suggested the Japanese line was in financial trouble. K Line was dogged for days by negative stories. APL said on its website that “a small number” of employees had conveyed opinions to customers, but were in the process of retracting them.
