Finnair has promoted Janne Tarvainen to head of cargo, following the resignation of Antti Kuusenmäki. Mr Tarvainen, who starts in his new role on November 1, has for the past three years been head of the Operations Control Centre.
Mr Kuusenmäki is leaving to “pursue other career opportunities”. Although he has been in the job a relatively short time, since December last year, he has been on the cargo team since 2012 and has been key in the many projects Finnair Cargo has undertaken.
Juha Järvinen, Finnair’s CCO and Finnair Cargo’s MD, said: “With over 20 years’ aviation experience, I am confident that Janne is the right person to successfully steer the cargo team in the upcoming growth phase.”
