Moos in as P&O CEO

P&O Ferries has appointed Kasper Moos (above) as its new chief executive, following the recent resignation of the hugely controversial Peter Hebblethwaite.

The contrast between the two could hardly be starker – Mr Hebblethwaite executed the company’s infamous mass sacking of 800 seafarers in 2022, while Mr Moos is a former seafarer himself who joined Maersk as an apprentice and spent the next 10 years at sea for the Danish carrier, eventually working up to the role of chief officer.

Following that he held a variety of high-level roles at Danish ro-ro and ferry operator DFDS Group.

He takes up his new role in late September.
