Geodis has named Laura Ritchey (above) as its new president and chief executive of the Americas region, replacing Mike Honious, who is retiring from the supply chain industry after a 30-year career, the last 20 at Geodis.
The company said Mr Honious would serve in an advisory capacity to group CEO Marie-Christine Lombard, “to assist in the transition and will continue to hold director roles with the Geodis Foundation and Geodis Compassion Fund”.
Ms Ritchey joins Geodis with more than 30 years’ experience, including 15 years in supply chain management for both retail and third-party logistics.
She was most recently CEO of e-commerce fulfilment specialist Radial, where “she delivered revenue growth and profitability through operational excellence”.
She will report directly to Ms Lombard and sit on the group executive board, overseeing the management and growth of the region’s multiple business units across North and South America, including contract logistics, freight forwarding and transportation.
“With the US being one of the top markets in our global network, Laura has the robust industry and leadership experience needed to continue strengthening Geodis’s position in this critical region,” said Ms Lombard.
“Laura’s unique knowledge of the logistics industry, including deep expertise in retail and e-commerce, and business acumen makes her the right leader to further the region’s incredible growth and help navigate in the face of today’s complex and ever-changing landscape,” she added.
