In the latest departure of a senior DB Schenker executive following its acquisition by Danish 3PL DSV, Kuehne + Nagel has announced the appointment of Shirley Sharma Paterson (above) as its new global head of sales.
Ms Sharma Paterson will take up her new role on 1 August and will report directly to Kuehne + Nagel group chief executive Stefan Paul, “leveraging her extensive experience and proven track record in achieving business growth”.
“We warmly welcome Shirley Sharma Paterson to Kuehne + Nagel,” Mr Paul said.
“Her extensive customer network in the global supply chain industry will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our global sales organisation to deliver the best-in-class, customer-focused supply chain solutions,” he added.
Ms Sharma Paterson brings to Kuehne + Nagel over 25 years’ experience in the logistics industry across a variety of roles.
She has worked in DB Schenker’s San Francisco office – a key base in the US since its 2006 purchase of BAX Global – for the past seven years, where she held several leadership roles, most recently leading Schenker’s Flagship Partner Customer Engagement Program and as SVP, global vertical market technology.
