Some Bangladeshi factory owners are complaining that repair work has forced them to close their doors, temporarily. After the Rana Plaza collapse last year, in which 1,138 people were killed, retailers agreed that factories in the country should undergo inspection. But some owners have threatened legal action and want compensation, saying they can’t afford to keep staff on, make repairs and maintain orders. But retailers involved in the agreement have pledged to keep orders at those factories for two years.
