Another sad nail in the coffin for a Russia-affiliated freighter airline. Almost as quickly as it arrived, Cargologic Germany has departed, having been declared insolvent.
Owned, ultimately, by Russia’s Alexey Isaikin, also founder of Volga-Dnepr Group, the Leipzig-hubbed carrier was banned from European airspace in March, leaving its fleet of four 737Fs grounded. Appeals that it is not in fact Russian, fell on deaf ears in Germany. DVZ reports, (via Air Cargo News).
