Despite MSC continuing to stretch its lead over Maersk in the containership total capacity stakes, the Danish carrier remains at the top of the rankings in terms of reefer space.
According to Alphaliner data, Maersk has some 504,000 reefer plugs on its 735 vessels, while MSC’s 663 ships have 443,000.
