There was lots of pride recently embedded in the reported remarks of SNCF chairman and CEO Jean-Pierre Farandou (pictured below), concerning the blossoming prospects of logistics subsidiary Geodis.
Ruling out (of course) a sale of the prized asset, it “has sufficient size to compete with the leading players”.
Which is true only if the “leading” players he is referring to are those outside the magic four – Kuehne + Nagel, DHL Global Forwarding, DSV and DB Schenker – as well as a few others, ...
