Court injunctions are blocking further protests at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), at least in the short term. Channel News Asia reports that the gateway received an interim order preventing people “unlawfully and wilfully obstructing” the airport’s operations. Earlier in the week the airport was forced to cancel more than half a days’ worth of flights after protesters blocked travellers accessing flights. While no freighters were reportedly impacted, bellyhold cargo would obviously have been hit by the closure and cancellations.
