Singapore’s post office operator, SingPost, has been on something of an acquisition spree in recent years as it looks to set itself for the e-commerce future. Much of its strategy has been directed by German national Wolfgang Baier, who suddenly quit his post on 10 December – the reasons for which remain shrouded in mystery, but are rumoured to centre on differences with SingPost chairman Lim Ho Kee.
