The Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement is expected to increase the volume of Vietnamese seafood exports to the EU, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers. Last year, Vietnam’s seafood industry earned US$1.13bn from seafood trade to the EU, accounting for 18.5% of total seafood exports. The sector is now the country’s fifth largest export earner, reports Vietnam Breaking News, rising 21% to reach a record $6.1bn last year.
