US 'slow flower' movement could spell trouble for LatAm growers

We are sorry for linking to the frankly discredited Fox News, but we did want to give Valentine’s Day a nod. And this story is marginally different from the rest. Reshoring is meant to be all the trend in the US – and here we learn that there is a small but growing number of flower farmers springing up. Despite the bullish headline, they are unlikely to take over from their Latin America neighbours, however, with the climate preventing them from all-year round harvesting. It is also something of a local movement, making distribution a very regional task.
