German heavylift and project cargo carrier Zeamarine has appointed Namir Khanbabi (pictured above) as its new regional director for Asia and Oceania.
Mr Khanbabi will lead the Asia & Oceania business units and “identify new market opportunities and continue our successful story in the area”.
He was previously chartering and operations director at AAL.
He will be based in Zeamarine’s regional headquarters in Kuala Lumpur and be supported by the promotion of Alexander Furst to head of chartering Asia and Oceania.
Chief operating officer Nicki Schumacher said: “Namir brings over 25 years of experience and knowledge in the shipping, heavylift and Asian markets.
“He has a strong track record in team building, growing business and excellent customer service which will benefit our customers and the Zeamarine team.
“His appointment, together with Alex’s promotion, is a testament to our ambition in the region.”
