There will be neither confirmation nor denial of this news from Maersk until at least Wednesday, when it is due to issue its first-quarter results. Nonetheless, IHS’s Rob Wilmington is well known to The Loadstar as a maritime analyst that knows his vessels, and if he claims Maersk has placed an order for six 20,000teu ships with Daewoo at $155m each, we’re happy to believe him. Delivery is scheduled for 2017. Meanwhile, the yard has three of the 20-strong Triple-E order remaining to be delivered this year.
