Branch manager (BM) and other senior job cuts in America, as exclusively highlighted by Premium 10 days ago, left all of us wondering where Kuehne + Nagel (K+N) goes from there, strategy-wise, with regard to additional layoffs, hiring, travel bans and the like.
When rumours from the US were quickly confirmed, the feeling was: there could be more coming our way.
And so, the redundancy-related talk of the past 24 hours, didn’t surprise anybody in our circles.

Are they now simply figure heads driving and overseeing sales? But with no control over the product and services that they commit to their clients?
As a CEO, one of the most important aspects is being able to control the manner your organization executes. for the client. Without this ability, can anyone in that role even really be considered a Chief Executive?
