Delving ever deeper into the omnichannel world, Walmart has expanded its partnership with Uber, adding Dallas and Orlando to its grocery delivery pilot. Vice president of e-commerce operations Mike Turner announced the news in a blog post. Turner says the pilot has given the US-based retailer an opportunity to understand exactly what customers want from an omnichannel provider. He, and presumably the rest of the Walmart team, are hoping this fledgling partnership will speed up the shopping process and meet the “need for speed” demands of the modern consumer.
