So DB Schenker is moving into the modern era, having secured exclusive rights in Europe to digital freight-booking platform uShip. In a deal worth “tens of millions”, according to the WSJ, shippers will be able to connect instantly with transport companies. DB Schenker had been developing the capability in-house, but this deal allows it to offer booking services immediately. Expect other 3PLs to start doing the same soon.
