GAC has appointed Johan Ehn as its managing director in Sweden.
Mr Ehn brings more than two decades’ experience to the role, joining from APL, where he served as its commercial head and serving16 years at Georg Hansen Shipping, as MD.
Mr Ehn is a board member of the Gothenburg Shipbrokers Association and chairs the Swedish Shipbrokers Association.
Group VP for Europe Ivo Verheyen said: “Johan’s long experience and demonstrable vision, entrepreneurship and teambuilding skills are perfectly aligned with our strategy for GAC Sweden.
“So too is his experience in IT and digitalisation, which will play a key role as we forge ahead with smart solutions to serve our customers in Sweden and worldwide.”
Mr Ehn described his new appointment as an “exciting” opportunity, adding that he was committed to growing the business.
“This is an exciting time marked by continued expansion, as well as many challenges and the need to innovate.”
