Following its merger with Elite Global Logistics Network (EGLN) last October, the WCA has appointed its director of North America, Matthew West, to head up EGLN.
Taking on the title of managing director, Mr West will work alongside EGLN president and founder Roy Stapleton to grow both that network and the WCA’s.
Mr West has served the WCA for more than six years, having joined in 2012 to work in its member relations department.
Mr Stapleton said the appointment was a “no-brainer” adding that Mr West’s experience was “exactly what was needed” for its expansion and integration in the WCA.
“Appointing Matthew to managing director was a no-brainer, and what makes him so valuable is his diversity of skills,” said Mr Stapleton.
“He has sales experience, is great with the members and knows his way around WCA’s robust database.”
