Homesourcing is no longer an ideal – 330,000 manufacturing jobs were created in the US since 2009 and those that manufacture in America for American consumers are seeing a range of benefits: less cash tied up in elongated supply chains; a leap in production agility; vast savings in “soft” costs. As more manufacturers use the internet to go direct-to-consumer, China’s position as the factory of the world is being eroded.
