Eli Glickman (pictured) has taken the helm of ZIM Integrated Shipping Services as the new president and chief executive.
The 56-year-old took over from Rafi Danieli, president and CEO of the Israeli carrier since 2009, on 1 July.
“ZIM is a dynamic company with a proud heritage. I‘m confident in our ability to deliver exceptional service to our customers, while striving for profitability and growth,” Mr Glickman said.
He added: “I want to thank Rafi Danieli, who has steered ZIM through rough seas. As chief executive, my primary goal is to continue this positive momentum and lead ZIM to greater heights.”
Prior to joining ZIM, Mr Glickman served as chief executive of Israel Electric Corporation from 2011 to 2015. Before that, he was deputy chief executive of Partner – Orange Cellular Communication and previously managed Partner Orange’s Customer Division.
From 2003 to 2005 Mr Glickman was chief executive of logistics company Exel MPL.
