Following on from last month’s news that talks between the unions and US Maritime Alliance were going well, now it seems that the threat of east coast port strikes looms large again. Talks have broken down and the unions have voted to strike if no agreement is reached by the end of this month. Shippers are dusting off their contingency plans, again. Could this be the fillip that the air cargo industry needed?
